ASIST is 2-day, 16-hour, intensive practice led course to host full conversation intervention with someone having thoughts of suicide. This course includes learning the signs for suicide, how to ask the question about thoughts/actions of suicide and engage in conversation about suicide that includes keeping that person “safe for now.” This course is designed for anyone interested in knowing more about helping someone with thoughts of suicide or possibly doing interventions.
The class will be held at Franciscan Health Orthopedic Carmel, 10777 Illinois St, Carmel, IN 46032.
Class is 8:30am-5:00pm October 2 & 3, 2024, with lunch and snacks provided and free of charge.
