Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services is challenging and changing cultural expectations of individuals with disabilities as part of system transformation focused on building system capacity to support individuals as the primary drivers of their lives. The specific focus is capacity building efforts to foster an improved culture of positive behavioral supports that recognizes the impact of dual diagnosis on individuals.
BDS is sharing upcoming, free, in-person learning opportunities, titled “Positive Approaches for Individuals with Dual Diagnoses”. These opportunities will specifically address the behavioral and mental health needs of those supported as well as covering the history of behavioral supports and foundational principles.
