Next Steps™ is primarily designed for primary caregivers who have a child who has recently been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, this workshop is also beneficial for other caregivers, educational or therapy professionals, medical providers, and other adult family members.

Did you know? Indiana’s Medicaid waivers (FSW & CIH) can cover Family & Caregiver Training — including HANDS in Autism trainings!
Families can use up to $5,000 per waiver year to learn skills in behavior support, communication, advocacy, and more. Trainings must be added to the individual’s PCISP and approved by the waiver case manager.
HANDS trainings qualify as long as:
– Your family member is on FSW or CIH
– The training is listed in the PCISP
– Costs stay within the yearly budget
Using waiver funds helps families access high-quality, structured training without added financial stress.
